In today’s busy world we all suffer from some kind of mental sickness, be it severe or a normal one but if the feeling of despair goes on for too long, that may be a sign of existential crisis.

Doing something terrible at some point in life and not having been able to fix your mistake can haunt you in the long run. This guilt eats you from the inside and you doubt yourself and your decisions.
2.Grief/ Death of a Loved One
Deep despair and sorrows also are the culprit that makes you question your life and its meaning. It may be related to your personal life or of your closed ones. Death can especially be very affecting in this matter. It makes you think only in one direction, death! It stops you from trying anymore because one day you and everyone else would die anyway.
3.Dissatisfaction and Self-criticism
When you are too harsh on yourself and judge your every step, you become discontent with your life and you start thinking that you are not capable of achieving anything. The big things that people around you achieve and their success stories make you think you lag behind in the race of life. This alone can be very discouraging and can leave you with dark thoughts.
4.Restriction on Emotions
Not allowing yourself to feel what you are supposed to appropriately feel in certain situations builds up emotions inside you. They overflow and spill at the wrong times. For example, if you don’t let yourself feel sad at a loss and pretend to be unaffected, it will make happiness an illusion for you and you might not be able to feel happiness anymore.
What Can Help with Fighting Existential Crisis
1. Allow Yourself to Feel
Do not delude yourself with false emotions and allow yourself to be genuine. When you are happy, feel it! Do not cloak yourself with forced sadness. In short, let it all flow naturally.
2.Surround Yourself with Positive People
If you keep a company of people that have a negative approach to life, you are more likely to develop the same mindset. Likewise, positive people can help you get rid of your loneliness and find meaning in life.
3. If you Can’t Find Answers, it is fine
It is not necessary to always find what you are looking for. Life does not always turn out to be the way we expect it to be, so just be flexible and find alternate ways.
4. A small Success is a Success too
Do not expect to get the biggest achievements in life all the time. Be content with the little wins for they eventually will lead you to bigger ones. Take inspirations from successful people but do not wish to get exactly what they have gotten. After all, success has a different meaning for every person.
